Windows 10: Acer Aspire E1-572 Keyboard stopped working

Hello.


My acer laptop experienced issues when typing. Pressing the A key and the 1 key will not work. A few months later, it started working. However, just days after it started working, the issue has come back again.


Does anybody have a solutution to fix this.

Continuing mousepad issues Windows 10 - Acer Aspire E1-572

I've had problems with my mousepad ever since I first updated my laptop to Windows 10 (around 10 months ago). Every time it updates, it seems to uninstall/update the drivers for my mousepad, which stops it working. Usually I can move the mouse but I can't
left or right click. Since then I had managed to find a way of 'fixing' it (EVERYTIME windows updated, which was annoying enough). I did this by uninstalling the 'updated' driver that windows forced on me and reinstalling an older one. That was all fine until
the most recent updates, since then I haven't been able to find a fix.

My laptop is an Acer Aspire E1-572. I've tried every single driver on this page Download Acer Support Drivers and Manuals and none of them are working. It's driving me crazy!!

Does anybody know how to fix this?

I had been advised to change the settings in windows to stop it updating drivers automatically:

There is a way to stop Windows Update downloading drivers that you do not need . . .

Control Panel - System, then on the left panel click 'Advanced System Settings', in the resultant dialog click on the 'Hardware' tab. Click the 'Device Installation Settings' button and select No.

This should stop Windows downloading and overwriting drivers that already work on your system

But I did this the other day when my mouse pad was still working, so I'm not sure why the driver has been overridden and the mouse pad has stopped working again.

We've also reviewed the checklist, and on our understanding, it shows that the Acer Aspire E1 is not compatible with any Windows 10 version.
