Windows 10: Acer Aspire E5-571 shows wrong time zone

The same thing applied to my Lenovo IdeaPad 3 15ITL05 issue is that we are in Eastern Time US & Canada but my Acer laptop shows Central Time US & Canada. But when I changed the time zone to Eastern Time US & Canada, but when I turn on Set time zone automatically, it reverts back to the default setting. And restarting the laptop does not resolve the problem.

I'd say that either the Notebook's keyboard needs replacing or it's not connecting correctly to the motherboard. Looking at a Search page shows a used Acer e5-571 at less than $200 but a new motherboard may be close to that. Personally, if the machine is over 3 or 4 years age and can't run Win11 I'd look into getting a new one. Win10 Retirement/EOL is Oct. 14, 2025. Acer e5-571 at DuckDuckGo

 

Can you safely upgrade Windows 7 to 10 on an Acer Aspire v3-571 ?

Hi, I am wondering whether I can safely ( without losing data ) upgrade an Acer Aspire v3-571 from Windows to Windows 10 ? I know it's not on the official Acer Windows 10 Creator Update list, but I've read some posts on here about users successfully installing
and using W10 on the v3-571. Has anyone had any issues with this? Thanks in advance.
