Windows 10: Acer desktop cannot boot after Windows 10 "Upgrade". help

hey guys I have a possibly terminal case here I've worked on and cannot resolve. Brother's Acer desktop running windows 7 64-bit, he took the bait and switched to windows 10, and he is not a technical guy.
It ran into a bad device driver apparently and never booted win 10 successfully. I had him build a recovery usb, we did that, went into troubleshooting, asked for boot options to try to get it into safe mode, but it bailed again just like trying to startup any other way. Auto repair to no avail [he tried that about a hundred times].

short of pulling the drive and starting over again with a new drive, do any of you have a suggestion?

Every single number.. No i've tested in on my mothers phone and her ID isn't set on private but still doesn't show. When i miss the call it automatically sends me a message saying who called, well if there number isn't on private.

I've had this problem since ever... Whenever i recieve a call it doesn't show the caller. All it says is " Call ". Please someone help me get rid of this ! My settings are set as " Say caller's name; - On "

 

Are you past the stage of wanting to recover any data off the hard disk?

If you were trying to upgrade rather than doing a clean install you could try the latter as an alternative route. This requires that you have a qualifying W7 product key that you use to activate W10.

familiar with all that.
my question was whether anyone on this forum knows a way to step around a device driver 'fail' in a Windows 10 upgrade when said Device error causes a non-boot situation.
what does not work is booting from either recovery usb or install usb and trying to set startup options in order to hope for Safe Mode and work around the device drivers. Windows 10 simply repeats the same loop no matter what, unless I am missing something.

they are creating a lot of bad will. will hurt the retail business but the Big shops are AOK with 10, minus Edge.

 

Ok but I was trying to understand if you had attempted a clean install of W10 or if you upgraded and inherited all the extra stuff from W7.

A clean install will usually do a better job of working through the driver issues.
