    Acer laptop keeps crashing after upgrade to windows 11


    Have two Acer netbook model N18H1 that I bought for my kids, originally came with Windows 10 but both were upgraded without me noticing or approving! to windows 11. They both crashed after an update started several months ago. Eventually did a factory restore to windows 11 and turned off automatic update but it keeps happening after a few weeks. Is there a way we restore it back to windows 10?! very frustrating.

    Acer Laptops :are they crap ?

    Acer makes a cheap prodcut period. They user lower end plastics, as well as assembly. (I hate working on Acer laptops)

    If budget is an issue then get an acer... though for $50 more you could get a gateway that will smoke the acer in terms of quality.

    For a laptop though i would suggest one of the DV7T's from HP or a Business class Toshiba/HP/IBM (not the lenovo branded, the Thinkpads)

    all games crash!

    I suggest you run rthdribl > http://www.daionet.gr.jp/~masa/archives/rthdribl_1_2.zip
    Increase the window size step by step and watch your vga temps permanently.
    What happens?
    If it crashes, run at stock speeds as suggested before and retry.

    P.S.: When your system locks, does the display signal turn off after a time?
    Stuttering sound or no sound at all when freezing?
    What X1800XT model do you own exactly?

    I have a few questions about windows 11...

    1. How many GB it is? when my pc suggested the upgrade yesterday, it said it's about 4GB just want to be sure.
    2. I'm using a windows 10 pro so if I upgrade, will it upgrade to a windows 11 pro?
