Windows 10: acer laptop stuck on factory reset at 42% for 2 hours

hi im really anxious as i write this so please forgive any mistakes

i moved all my files from my old acer laptop to another laptop manually, and then i decided to factory reset the acer laptop the long reset where it doesn't save any files

for the first few bits the factory reset was slow, but it was still moving

however now it's stuck at 42% for two hours and i am panicking that i did something wrong

i have read that the reset is not supposed to take this long?


what should i do? just wait it out for longer? do a hard shut down of the laptop?

Can someone please help me with my laptop problem. Bought this asus laptop last June 2017 unfortunately the system takes too long to respond. I tried to factory reset the unit by deleting all files and apps. It is almost 12 hours but it is only on 42%. Can
someone tell me if this normal?

 

My acer laptop was stuck in an automatic repair loop but now is stuck at 1% of factory reset

Okay, so yesterday when I turned my laptop on it was stuck at the acer screen. After some googling I turned it off and on again and repeatedly pressed f8 to to an automatic repair. This did nothing so I tried some troubleshoot options and none of them
worked. I was left in a infinite loop of automatic repair. I then decided to do a factory reset, but now it has been stuck at 1% for about two hours. If anyone has a solution can you please tell me in baby steps because I am a complete noob at this sort of
thing. I have an acer ES1-531 laptop.

 

Reset Acer Travelmate to factory settings

Hi all, I have an Acer Travelmate with Win10 (1607), I would like to save Win 10 to a stick, then reset the laptop back to factory settings and then reinstall Win10. There is no program on the laptop that requires saving. Any advice or suggestions, not to technical, would be very much appreciated, thanks Roy
