  1. Acer Laptop Windows 10 slows down extremely when unplugged

    Hi!

Today I worked as usual on my Acer Spin513-51 laptop plugged in. Then I went into sleep mode. An hour later I unplugged the laptop, and it took longer than normally to turn on. After it was finally on, my browser was extremely slow. I turned the whole thing off and on again, but it still behaved that way. Other programs worked fine though.

I then found out that everything works perfectly fine when plugged in. When unplugged save energy mode turned off and set to highest performance, my CPU drops from about 2 GHz to around 0.3 GHz.

What I also noticed a few weeks ago was that the fan is a lot more quiet when the laptop is unplugged. When it is plugged in, the fan is really loud most of the time, but when unplugged it is way more quiet.

Any idea how I can fix this without resetting my system? Since I really don't know a whole lot about laptops, a step by step guide would be really helpful :

    Thanks in advance!

PS: I also updated to the latest Windows 10 version a few days ago. But the problem really happened from one moment to another.

    :)

  3. Jumplist sometimes extremely slow

I bought a new laptop with Windows 10 recently.

Only after a few days, the jump lists started to get extremely slow.

But they behave that way just for a while, then they work as they should again.

When slow, it takes several minutes for the jump list to appear. It is extremely annoying. Especially e.g. when I have opened a remote desktop and want to open another one via the jumplist.

I had exactly the same problem with my old Windows 7 PC and assumed that I would get rid of that problem,
changing both PC and OS, but no.

I do not want the standard answers to this problem:

    - Disable Aero

    - Clear the (Explorer) Cache for Jump lists

    - etc.

It is definitely something else. I mean, how would the jump list cache get full after only a week? And why does the jump list get slow only sometimes and then suddenly works just fine again?

So please, give me an answer that takes this into consideration.

    Extremely slow Windows

For some reason my Windows 10 Acer laptop has become extremely slow during the last week or so.

I have run the PERFMON /REPORT and see there is a problem which I don't understand and would appreciate help with.

Here is a screen print of the report :
