Windows 10: Acer Nitro 5 AN414-55 Laptop - BIOS failure, how fast and how can you fix it?

I have a laptop which model name has been stated out on the question title, at one night I decided to download a game from Steam and go up to shower while waiting for it, when I came back to my laptop in recovery mode unable to repair my Windows, I've tried several restarts and reset, none of it works, my laptop even refuses to access the bootable USB inserted into the machine, the morning after the repair shop has concluded that the laptop's BIOS has been corrupted and it will need to be left at the place to repair, it is only day 2 so far but I wonder how can you fix the BIOS and in this cas

Go into BIOS/UEFI Setup to see if you can set the onboard chip to default. You can power on while pressing the Acer F1 or ESC key. Older models may use F2. This may be listed on the BIOS splash screen.

If you don't get a display for the BIOS even, then I'd reinstall the Nvidia card and properly disable it in BIOS setup before removing it this time.

Reinstalling Windows 10 on Acer Nitro 5 AN515-55

Hi there,

recently my Laptop (Acer Nitro 5 AN515-55) has been playing up a bit and I feel like my installation of windows has something wrong with it (corrupt files etc). For example, it wouldn't let me perform a system restore so I had to use the advanced boot menu which was also slightly broken and my password wasn't working. Luckily I fixed that issue in the end. I can't perform Chkdsk and other system operations just don't seem to work so well. I've uninstalled a lot of bloatware and try to keep my background applications to the minimal but it still feels quite slow. My performance in games feels as though it's deteriorating so I am thinking about performing a reinstallation of Windows 10 through Media Creation Tool. My concern is because I'm on a laptop is this going to create issues? I will back up files I want to keep onto another PC so that's not an issue but things liked drivers and BIOS updates that might have come with my laptop I'm concerned about. Will my BIOS be affected? And will I have to manually install drivers for the best outcome? What issues could arise in the process and do you think there is a better option for me?
