Windows 10: Acer Recovery Management - Recovery Windows to Factory settings

Maybe I'll try the post #9, because as you said. The recovery DVD is charged. When I wanted a recovery DVD few years ago, it was free and now it's charged :/. But thank you for your support.

 

Open command prompt (admin) and type:
Diskpart
list disk
select disk 0
list partition
exit
reagent /info

We need to find the Original Windows 8 Recovery Tools and the Factory Recovery Image's

Kyhi is very knowledgeable on the use of Windows Recovery Environment (Windows RE) and Windows Preinstallation Environment (Windows PE).

Windows PE | RE has tools for manual system recovery and image based recovery.

 

From what I can tell - this does not look like it was a windows 8 to windows 10 upgrade...

What is your current OS?? and what was the factory OS ???

But try this from cmd prompt (admin)

diskpart
select disk 0
select partition 5
assign letter=R
exit

Post pic of "R:" contents and sub folders
looking for install.wim or install.swm(s)

 

Yes, beacuse as I said. I tried to install Windows 8.1 ISO when it wanted installation media from Alt + F10 key. The original factory it should be Windows 8 or 8.1 I'm not sure.

Reagentc /setosimage /path \\?\GLOBALROOT\device\harddisk0\partition5\RecoveryImage /index 1

then
reagentc /info

you should now see a recovery image and index registered

 

Yes, I see. What's now?

 

You can create recovery media > control panel > recovery > create a recovery drive
OR
PC settings > recovery > Refresh or Reset PC

Either way your recovery appears to be properly registered and should now work as intended...

 

I'm not at home now and I'll be at about 3 hours. Can I ask. What next if this won't work?
