Windows 10: acer touch pad not working

Hi

I am using acer ultra think laptop.

Upon closing the lid and then opening the lid again, the touch pad not working.

I have to restart my laptop then the touch pad works.

Also if make the latop in tab modeby rotating the lid then again bringing back to laptop modeby bring back the lid to laptop mode then the touch pad works.

Please how to resolve the touch pad issue

I have a semi new Lenovo laptop ThinkPad T450s with a new hard drive. After installing Windows 10 the touch pad doesn't work. It did however work before. I have spent all day trying to read up on how I may solve this to no avail. Therefore I am writing my own help request. Here is a list of things I have tried;


Not Fn + F5
tried updating drives
not in device manager
not in control panel - mouse properties doesn't give me touch pad option (picture 2) nor is it anywhere in the control panel under deivices to be found
Activated in BIOS
I tried taking some steps I read online in the Registration Entries but files seemed to be missing (perhaps here is the problem) but only ended up making my USB mouse to stop working so that didn't do the trick.
Synaptic pointing device is under View and show hidden devices.
Not sure what to do about the yellow exclamation mark but it says error "This device is not present, is not working properly or does not have all its drivers installed. (Code 24)"

ACER ES1-512-c5yw touch pad not working after recent ( last two days ) windows 10 update

Touch pad was working fine until recent windows 10 update.

external USB mouse works ok when plugged in.

If I go to device manager i cannot see a touch pad device. I presume the driver has not been loaded.

I have tried to load the most recent touch pad driver from the acer website.....this does not fix the problem.

suggestions please .....thanks Tim
