    ACPI.sys causing problems with latency


    I need help I am getting cracking and popping in my sound and I've tried everything to correct. I ran LatencyMon and found that ACPI.sys is causing latency problems. I've already adjusted my sound card and updated to latest driver but still getting crackling and popping. I am running windows 10 and no matter what program I use that requires sound I get crackling and popping. Any help is much appreciated.

    Hello,

    I am posting this regarding a problem that I ran across in my laptop at the beginning of august 2019, the problem is that I am getting high DPC Latency levels that are apparently caused by wdf01000.sys according to the latency checking
    program, latencymon.

    I really want to know if there is a fix since I have browsed a wide range of sites trying to find a fix, I could not find any. And also my keyboard stopped working for some reason, if its ok I would like to find a fix for that, but
    I prioritize fixing the high latency over the keyboard.

    - there's my laptop for comparison- not specially brilliant spec. (see below)

    I only found wdf01000.sys in WinSxS - not an active driver in my case.

    ACPI driver causing abnormally high Latency on Dell XPS 15 9570

    ACPI is causing high DPC latency, concerns over live recording capabilities and live playback.

    I have uninstalled stock Dell audio drivers and installed RealTek drivers (not sure which ones), this has fixed popping sounds coming from the speakers or headphones.

    I need to use this laptop for live recording and live playback of music for a live band, latency cannot be an issue I should have, can you advice on how to fix this?
