So this has been doing this since one of the original updates.Instead of the icon logo in the start menu/task bar being red and black and the symbol for Acrobat DC app, it chooses to display instead an icon for that of an image your viewing. It's nuts when you multitasking and you can't find it because it's hiding as an image viewer. I've restarted, cleared stuff and even reset the desktop icon cache as well as well removing it off my system and then installing again. Still same dang thing! I'm no idiot; but could someone point me in the right direction or indicate, if it's just a bug?

Update: So all of the sudden I can't even right click for saving a .Bmp so I can actually
upload you folks a screen shot.. gosh win10 what gives!!??

    :)

When I installed Adobe Reader DC it had a place for a checkbox to allow putting an icon on the desktop, I let it and it has the right-click Properties where I can change that icon. That shortcut can then be Pinned to the Taskbar or to Start. Then to eliminate confusion I can Unpin the others. I suppose the same could be accomplished by locating the .exe file in Program Files or Program Files (x86) and right-click, Send to desktop create shortcut.

I don't know why they have it like that but,

I navigate to C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Acrobat Reader DC\Reader, right click on AcroRd32.exe, Send to... Desktop (create shortcut),

rename it to Acrobat Reader DC and cut and paste it to C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs

EDIT: My bad, @Berton pretty much covered it! *Redface
