Windows 10: AcroRd32.exe not working with Windows 10 2004

Our Navision based ERP software has been using a built-in Acrobat Reader for ages. It is really old, as in version 4.05 but the last one that could be used for such purpose without worrying about licensing.
With the release of Windows 10 feature update 2004 the application suddenly stopped working. We tried all of the compatibility settings but it just wouldn't launch.
There is the classic Adobe splash screen but it disappears and only leaves an entry in the windows application Log.
It worked fine from W2K to Win10 1909 only to get crashed by 2004. Is there any possible explanation? Have there been such fundamental changes that some applications just cannot run anymore? Obviously, our next step would be to create a support ticket with Microsoft.
If anyone has any idea, explanation, hint, a similar problem maybe, we would be very grateful.

AcroRd32.exe - Bad Image

I recently purchased a new PC with Windows 10. All went well untill last week.

I'm getting the following message everytime I open a PDF file

or try to save a PDF file

and when I try to attach a PDF file to an email message, Outlook stops

AcroRD32.exe - Bad Image

C:\WINDOWS\system32\explorerframe.dll is either not designed to run Windows or it contains and error. Try installing the program again using the original installation media or contact yoursystem administrator or software vendor for support. Error status
0xc0000020.

We've already tried: wiped the PC and reloaded everything again and it did not resolve the error.

Please help

 

Windows cannot find C:\Program Files(x86)Adobe\AcrobatReaderDC\Reader\AcroRd32.exe

The Acrobat Reader was working fine before I upgraded to Windows 10. I have tried uninstalling the program, reinstalling it and I continue to be unable to open the program. This is the error message that I receive when trying to open it:
Windows cannot find C:\Program Files(x86)Adobe\AcrobatReaderDC\Reader\AcroRd32.exe Make sure you typed the name correctly, and then try again

I have problems opening PDF files , after few seconds there is notification that my AcroRd32 is incompatible . Try troubleshooting but it does not work . How do i fix this , Thanks .
