  1. Act!6.0 under Windows 10, Admin and User rights, Keywords Search Function

Act!6.0 under Windows 10 under Administrator rights -\y Act!6.0 is working O.K. after passing through the troubles with the installation. The problem is that under User rights Act!6.0 is working only partly. The important search function Lookup/KeyWord Search is not working at all. Any recommendation would be very helpful. Many thanks in advance. I am not PC expert - just User. Radek Pospisil, Czech Republic

    admin rights keep disappearing!?!!

    Hi guys,

I am actually having a problem at work that our IT department hasn't been able to figure out. I am supposed to be a member of the admin group. We are on a domain. The problem is that everytime I reboot the computer I loose my admin rights(no longer in the administrator group) and just become a normal user again. I have tried googling this and didn't get to many results.
I believe IT is just giving me local admin rights, not admin rights for the whole domain.

    Any suggestions?

EDIT: It is on Windows XP Pro.

  3. Crucial: Whats wrong with Mail App Search Function

thanks for your suggestion, and no, the windows search index was not the problem. it's the mail app that does not work as expected:

    expected behavior:

    1. type a keyword
    2. return search results containing that keyword

    observed behavior:

    1. type a keyword
    2. no results
    3. search online
    4. still no results and no error msg

Act!6.0 under Windows 10, Admin and User rights, Keywords Search Function

Windows 10 Search Folder/Directory impossible without keyword ???

    Hi,

In Windows 10 we cannot go into arbitrary folder/directory, and simply click "search" icon to get a list of ALL subfolders/subdirectories and files in all of them. We
must specify a keyword, an extension, anything, otherwise it won't work.

This was possible, in like, Windows XP.

What happened to search function? Why was it degraded?

I really work serious stuff and sometimes I need to quickly use "stupid" mode w/o keyword to get a list of all things across different dirs. Is there a way to get this work w/o using 3rd party search tools?

    Thanks
