  1. Action won't allow me to remove deleted iCloud Photos file from quick access

Hi. I'm having a problem removing a deleted file from my quick access. I recently installed iCloud on my computer, then decided I didn't really need it so I uninstalled it. The problem is, the file still remains. In a screenshot which I have attached to this question, it will show the pop up message I received. I know this question came up somewhere else, but perhaps you can make an exception? I don't have very good computer smarts and for risk of doing something really dumb to my computer, please help me. I have tried everything. Thank you. Action won't allow me to remove deleted iCloud Photos file from quick access c21e540b-314c-43ff-8a99-f1c945f3c0a8?upload=true.jpg

  3. Delete iCloud photos from file explorer

I have the same problem -- and it isn't in the 'Quick Access' section. I noted that it is BELOW the Quick Access section, which is clear when you toggle that section and see that the icloud link is still there.

I went through the steps of removing the registry key anyway, hoping the problem was the same -- but no luck. The registry key removal does NOT work for this issue -- which is that every time I use icloud, I get another link on file explorer that says 'iCloud
    Photos'.

Maybe it is just cosmetic; I don't use iCloud, and was playing with it just to consider whether I should. I guess I shouldn't have looked.

Prevent iCloud Photos Folder Being Auto-Created?

I have iCloud for Windows v7.0.1.210 on Windows 10 version 1703. I only enabled iCloud Drive and web bookmark sync features. But somehow the iCloud Photos folder is created automatically every time I open the iCloud setting after I deleted it manually, especially annoyingly it got added to my Quick access list inside File Explorer.

BTW, anyway to remove the iCloud icon from system tray on windows 10?
