    Activate Build 9879

A week or so ago I installed Build 9879 of W 10 TP and have tried every day to activate it through PC Settings. I keep getting a message saying, "Windows can't activate. Try again later." Should I be concerned? What can I do to activate it?

    Thank you.

    :)

  2. How to stop Windows Defender updates?

    Hello there,

Same issues appeared with build 9860! Even if my third party anti-virus (Avira) was activated and running quite well, I was receiving the updates of Windows Defender! Worse with build 9879 as it removed Avira! It seems that for the moment, Windows Defender
is keeping the hand whatever can happen! Is it a choice of Microsoft, I really don't know!

    Regards

    Luc

Check for Updates, it should activate on it's own.

That is what I thought too but I just ran "Check for Updates" and it found and installed some and it is still not activated. Go figure!

That is what I thought too but I just ran "Check for Updates" and it found and installed some and it is still not activated. Go figure! Finally got it to activate! I stumbled across the product key for the 9879 Build (PBHCJ-Q2NYD-2PX34-T2TD6-233PK). I used it to activate and Bingo it worked.

Where exactly did you download the iso ?
    Apparently not from Microsoft :/

At my age a person can and will miss most things. I guess that is where I found it on the second time around.

It's not that obvious for Enterprise... One has to expand the Pre-Installation node to get it.

another EASY way for enterprise: from command prompt (admin mode) type SLUI 3 (note space between SLUI and 3).

    Then enter the key.
