Activate Windows 10 under proxy server

    Hi,
i cannot activate Win10 in my network under a Squid Proxy server.
Proxy does not require authentication, internet navigation is ok but windows activation is KO.
If i connect pc to a direct internet line (without proxy) activation is OK.

Do you know a workaround for activation with proxy ?
    Thank you.

    :)

  2. Adding credentials to Windows Proxy Settings

    Hi All,

So I played around a bit with different settings, proxy management apps and I found a suitable solution that I would like to share with you all (for in case some others have the same issue).

    Setting up the Proxy Settings:

In the Windows 10 menu, I went to settings (WinKey+I) and searched for "Configure Proxy Settings". Select Internet Settings > Local LAN Settings >Proxy Server Settings.

Select the option to make use of a proxy server, and enter the Server Address and Port

Setting up the credentials for the Proxy Server:

In Windows 10 menu, go to Settings (WinKey+I) and search for "Credential Manager". Under Windows Credentials, add a new entry for Windows Credentials. Enter the Proxy Server address (without the port number), your domain user name and the password.

Once these details are active, you should be able to make use of the proxy server under your custom entered user credentials.

Just remember to deactivate the "Use a Proxy Server" setting (first step) when browsing from outside the network where the proxy is required.

    Regards,

    Pieter

Can't activate windows 10 after upgrading from genuine windows 8.1

    Thank you for your answers.

My windows 10 was activated today. I don"t know if the problem was caused by windows activation servers. Maybe the problem was caused because I used a proxy server to connect to the internet. Today, I used another network without proxy and windows activated
    automatically.

I am really happy that problem disappeard Activate Windows 10 under proxy server :D

Activate Windows 10 under proxy server

Please right click on start icon, select Command Prompt (admin). In the command prompt window run:

    slmgr /dlv

Post the result here and we can help figure out your activation problem. Windows 10 should not require any internet connection at all to remain activated once it is properly activated (unless it is a volume license activating from a corporate server).

    Example of slmgr /dlv:
