Windows 10: ACTIVATE WINDOWS 10

Hi my laptop keeps telling me I need to activate windows 10, so when I go to do it.....its telling me I need to connect to the internet, which I'm already connected too. ive absolutely no idea why this is happening, I'm not one tiny bit clued up on laptops computers windows etc etc. I just need to activate windows 10, this laptop did come with it but somehow it deleted itself or something else happened, thankyou

I won't buy a key, stupid.

I'll revert back to windows 7 then.

When I still was on windows 7, about a year ago I added 4GB extra ram which is a total of 8GB now,
is that causing the problem?
