    activate windows, replaced damaged motherboard


    Trying this again, I replaced my motherboard as my old motherboard failed. I am unable to reactivate windows 10. The troubleshooter is no help, as it says I need an app, but does not say what app. I have researched extensively on the web, but any thing available is very old or does not match what I see on my screen. I am logged into my Microsoft account and there is no help on those screens either. This should not be this difficult.
