Windows 10: Activate Windows Server 2022 Datacenter on Hyper-V Host with Windows Server 2019 Datacenter

Hi!I tried to aktivate a new VM on my Hyper-V Host. The Hyper-V Host is a Windows Server 2019 DataCenter Core.The new VM is a Windows Server 2022 DataCenter with GUI.For the activation by Host i use the AVMA-Key for Windows Server 2022 DataCenter but the Server couldn´t be activated with this key. Why? Isn´t possible to use a WinSrv 2022 DC as guest on a WinSrv 2019 DC Host?***** moved from german to english Community *****

windows server 2019 datacenter,windows 10 LTSC activation

Hi Gents,

in my organization we have windows server 2016 datacenter

and we activate windows 7 and windows 10 enterprise and bro from windows server 2016 datacenter kms host key,

we need to install windows server 2019 datacenter to activate windows 10 LTSC 2019,

my questions are?:

1- will we lost activation of windows 7 and windows 10 "old laptops"

2- activation of windows 10 LTSC just in windows server 2019 data center KMS ? and not possible in windows server 2016 datacenter?,

3- what is the problems that will face if we upgrade our windows server?

 

Upgrade Domain Controllers from 2012 R2 STANDARD TO 2019 Datacenter on a Hyper V Host Server 2016 Standard

I do have 2 Domain Controllers Windows Server 2012 R2 Standard in a Hyper V host 2016 Standard. I would like to Upgrade Domain controllers to 2019 Datacenter Edition. I am migrating the Master Domain Controller to a Physical Server and the other will be replicating this Physical one.

So my Question is Whether I can upgrade these to Domain controllers from 2012 standard edition to Windows Server 2019 Datacenter edition without any issues?

Any recommendations. Please help

 

Windows Server 2016 Datacenter activation

We acquired a license for Windows Server 2019 Datacenter but we need to install Windows Server 2016 Datacenter. What is the procedure to convert the Product Key for activation?
