Windows 10: "Activate Windows" Watermark began showing up yesterday and activation troubleshooter does...

Beginning yesterday on Monday, a watermark has begun showing up on the bottom left corner of my pc telling me to activate windows. I have had Windows 10 since 2020, and have had my current pc since Christmas of that year, so Im not sure why this is happening now! When I do click activation in the 'Updates and Security' tab it for some reason buffers and takes a long time to show up. And when it does load it displays the following error code: 0xC004F012Now before anyone asks, yes I have tried using the Activation Troubleshooter. Only problem is that it doesn't work, and instead I get another er

Activate Windows Watermark

The Windows activation watermark is usually appearing if the activation servers detect that a device is not activated. For further help with activating your copy of Windows 10, visit this
link. If the same issue persists after performing the troubleshooting suggestions on the link, follow these steps:

• Using Cortana, type Notepad and then click on Notepad (Desktop app).
• Type the following commands in Notepad:
  • @Echo off
    
    taskkill /F /IM explorer.exe
    
    explorer.exe
    
    exit
    
    
• 
  Save the file and name it as Activation.bat.
  
• 
  Change the Save as type to All files.
  
• 
  Locate the file, right-click on it and then choose Run as Administrator.
  
• 
  After running the file, restart your computer and then check if the same issue persists.

PM'd me that he had to uninstall lastest updates - one of which referred to Enterprise.

how do i get rid of the "go to settings to activate windows" watermark that has recently started to appear? i've check out the following and my system clearly appears to be activated, altho nothing shows up in step 4 and 5 shows my copy is not activated... i purchased this software about four years ago and have been using it ever since.

1. cmd > "slmgr /xpr" returns "windows(r) professional edition: the machine is permanently activated.

2. system properties shows "windows activation: windows is activated product id: my registration key".

3. productkey.vbs script shows product key.

4. cmd > "wmic path softwarelicensingservice get OA3xOriginalProductKey" doesn't show anything.

5. activation settings shows that my edition is not activated.

EDIT - selecting "troubleshoot" in activation settings seems to have fixed the problem.
