Activate Windows watermark keeps coming back







There is no apparent reason for this. I have seen various 'fixes' on the web for this which requires changing registry settings but feel a bit uncomfortable doing this.


I have a suspicion that the Microsoft Account that I used to install windows 10 is a long defunct 'Yahoo.co.uk' account.


I have tried to go through Microsoft's various ways of resetting this password but I can't remember the details of the sent messages they ask for.


Does anyone have any suggestions please?

Activate Windows watermark

I keep getting the Activate Windows watermark. I have done the suggested things such as editing the regedit, creating the removal.bat file, but the watermark keeps returning.

My windows is legit, and I have had it for 3 years now. Can someone please help me?

The Windows activation watermark is usually appearing if the activation servers detect that a device is not activated. For further help with activating your copy of Windows 10, visit this
link. If the same issue persists after performing the troubleshooting suggestions on the link, follow these steps:

• Using Cortana, type Notepad and then click on Notepad (Desktop app).
• Type the following commands in Notepad:
  • @Echo off
    
    taskkill /F /IM explorer.exe
    
    explorer.exe
    
    exit

  Save the file and name it as Activation.bat.
  
• 
  Change the Save as type to All files.
  
• 
  Locate the file, right-click on it and then choose Run as Administrator.
  
• 
  After running the file, restart your computer and then check if the same issue persists.

Activate Windows Watermark - Activation failed?


Hello everyone,
This is my first post in this forum.So I have a HP notebook which had came up with preinstalled win 8.1 Single Language.I waited when windows 10 upgrade notification started coming up until today I upgraded.

Since I have a very low Speed connection(80-100Kbps download speed),I preferred to download the ISO file of Windows 10.It is Windows 10 Home Version build 1511.I mount it up on upgraded to windows with keeping my personal files and settings intact.

Now,the "activate windows" watermark is showing up at the bottom of the screen.I did tried to activate windows but it failed with error 0xc004f074.I check this website's forum and someone suggested to activate the windows by inputting your windows 8.1 product key.I found it out by shadowkey plus.But the 0xc004f210 comes up "you are running windows 10.The product key you entered cannot be used to activate this edition".I am stuck here unable to rectify the activation situation.Someone please enlighten me here....
