Windows 10: Activate Windows

I have been using Windows 10 since the beginning with periodic renewal via MCT. It is working fine but for the last dew weeks I have been seeing 'Activate Windows - Go to Settings to activate Windows' on most pages in the lowere right. See attachment.

I've had this message up on my computer ever since I built my desktop. I've tried so many things to get rid of this watermark, but they were all only temporary. And I can't use my product key/activation code. Because I don't think it said anywhere on the
package about that. And I threw away the envelope that held the windows 10 driver. I'm pretty much out of options at this point and I'm asking anyone out there if there is a way to fix this problem.

Error message:

We can't activate Windows on this device as we can't connect to your organization's activation server. Make sure you're connected to your organization's server and try again. If you continue having problems with activation, contact your organization's support
person. Error code: 0x8007232B

What is MCT?
What version of Windows 10 do you have? Press the Win key+S in the search box type winver and press enter. If you don't have 1709, then you should update to the latest version.
Did you go to Settings/Update and Security/Activation and Activate Windows?

 

Usually that's an abbreviation for the Media Creation Tool

 

MCT is the Media Creation tool. Can be used to download and create an ISO for upgrade purposes or repair purposes.

Run this from admin command prompt

slmgr /dlv

and post image of response (data is not confidential).

It states that it is up to date and if i access activate windows, it wants my key. I am confused.

Edit: There is the built-in Activation troubleshooter which targets digital activation, but I have no confidence in it. Sometimes it reports it found a Pro digital licence then asks you to install Pro (when you are already running Pro) ...that's when I am confused.

 

Posting the actual screenshot of the results would have given us some indications as to what might be wrong....
