Windows 10: Activating windows 10 after a hardware change (motherboard) error code: 0xc004c003

I recently changed my cpu and the motherboard, I have the product key with me, and when i type the key in, it tells me that, "We can't activate Windows on this device because you don't have a valid digital license of product key. If you think you do have a valid license or key, select Troubleshoot below (0xc004c003)

Activate Windows message (Error code: 0xC004C003) after hardware change

Heya,

Before I being, I have done numerous google searches on this matter, and read the support articles on the Microsoft website and they have not fofered me a working solution.

So today I changed the motherboard of my computer after my original one was faulty. After loading up Windows, after a short while I got a Active Windows message in the corner of my screen. I went to the activation page in my settings and got the error code
0xC004C003

I upgraded to Windows 10 from Windows 7 when it was released, I do not have the original of the Windows 7 anymore.

I was not given to opportunity to link my windows to my Microsoft account at any point.

I am running Windows 10 Pro edition.

Does anyone have any suggestions? I did not think that changing my hardware would pose such a problem.

Problem re-activating windows after hardware change

I recently changed my PC motherboard & cpu and i need to re-activate windows. Going through the steps in windows and using the troubleshooter > "I recently changed my hardware" > selecting my PC from list of devices, it never works. Error code 0xC004C003.
I bought a windows 10 OEM key and have seen generally you just need to call support to re-activate but none of the phone numbers they give me work (UK). Any advice or people I can contact is appreciated.

Does anyone know if there is an easy way to reactivate my windows 10 install after effecting some changes to the hardware?

I have recently run into an issue that required a new motherboard and after installing it this afternoon windows no longer accepts my install of windows 10 as being activated.

any information would be greatly appreciated as i cant seem to find any incidents of this occurring thus far, all cases i have read of error code: 0xC004C003 have been after a clean install or as a random occurrence.
