Windows 10: Activating Windows 10 Pro with a Windows 10 Home product key for a $99 discount

Hello!


I have a 2019 MacBook Air with an activated version of Windows 10 Home running on Boot Camp. I recently purchased a 2020 MacBook Air and have an unactivated version of Windows 10 Pro running on Boot Camp. I need a Windows 10 Pro product key to activate the OS on my new machine, but I only have a Windows 10 Home product key from the old machine. Reverting from Windows 10 Pro to Home and then upgrading to Prois not an option for me. Is there some way I can get a $99 discount off my purchase of a Windows 10 Pro product key if I deactivate the Windows 10 Home OS on my other machine? This would be equivalent to reverting from Pro to Home, typing in the product key for Home, and then upgrading to Pro for a $99 discount, so no money would be lost from Microsoft's perspective. I am only wondering if this could be done without downgrading from Pro to Home.

I bought Windows 7 Pro OEM key from G2Play.net for 12€ to upgrade to Windows 10 Pro - worked like a charm but be advised if you buy a OEM key you can not download the Win 7 iso from microsoft and have to get it elsewhere.

Nope, you need to install Windows 10 first and make sure the Windows 7 key is transferred to your Windows account after you've installed Windows 10 (not quite sure how that works). I missed the last step and I could not activate Windows 10 after a re-install... Microsoft seem to have done everything they can to make it a PITA. Also, it's technically too late to do this now anyhow, as the upgrade offer has expired. But KMSPico works quite well...

As for getting rid of Windows, delete the Windows folder.

Thanks but I don't want to do any decrypting. I want to download a Win 10 ISO from Microsoft and install it using my Win 8 key. No other steps required. Is that possible?
