Windows 10: Activation and changing Windows versions between privately bought license keys and ones...

Hello,I wanted to ask few things having to do with changing Windows versions.I have privately bought then Windows 10 Home, now have Windows 11 Home key, have access to it and use it to this day now.If I were to upgrade to other version like Pro or Education with another key, would I after that still go back using my old Windows 10 Home key or would it not work anymore or I would need to do something to make it work?Another question is, let's say I have access to the Azure services and am in possession in Windows 11 Education key.If I were to loose access to that account, let's say the organi

Can you change a license key?

If your current 1909 install is activated, no product code is needed to upgrade to 2004. It will likely upgrade even if it isn't activated to be honest.
Your Digital License is Edition (Home , Pro etc) specific but not locked into a specific build number. No new code is needed to upgrade to a new build.
My laptop has an embedded OEM key for 8 Core. That would get me 10 Home on a clean install. I can switch Editions to Pro etc with a Change Product Key. That laptop has multiple Digital Licenses for Home, Pro, Pro Workstation, etc. I haven't had to enter a product code in ages.
As far as I know, Black Listed Keys, will just show up as "not a valid key for this edition" when entered. As they are not valid for any edition.

EDIT: In response to the thread title, yes you can change product codes. You can enter a different product code for that same Edition to go from not activated to activated. I've seen it done numerous times when a "to good to be true" product code was bought on E-Bay and didn't activate. They bought a good key from reputable seller and they were activated.

 

My previous computer stop functioning and I bought a new one. I want to use my previous product key but activation fails

I have a digital license for Windows Pro that was bought a couple months ago.

Now I want to use that digital license and product key in a new computer, as the previous one where that key was activated no longer exists.

I followed all step by step guides but activation keeps saying my product key was used in a previous device.

I do not want to buy a new license. What can I do?

I kinda did all the possible troubleshooting listed in the other threads ( btw this problem is waaay more common than necessary)

The fact is that the 1st year i used this pc without any problems. The pc was bought brand new.

Edit: In bios it seems that instead of the license key i found written '' NO DPK''
