    I'm just trying to get my windows 10 activated....


    I had a windows 8.1 key from my original pc build in 2014.


    At some point, maybe around 2017 I upgraded to windows 10 through the free upgrade process.


    I've now build a mostly new computer, keeping some parts from the old pc but have a new motherboard etc.


    When I use the product key I got when using a recommended 3rd party program cmd/powershell commands didn't work, it says it isn't correct.



    I have tried for hours now to speak to someone at microsoft. At first I was given bad advice, like that it wasn't activating because there were pending updates. I obviously installed those updates and nothing changed.


    I spoke to someone else who said he'd escalate my issue to level 2, but that I had to call back. I asked when, and he didn't say and hung up. I called back a while later and he said level 2 was closed/outside operating hours now and I had to call back at "6am tomorrow". I asked what timezone and he didn't say, but asked me where I was from. I told him Australia and after several minutes he finally said there was an available level 2 support for my region and he'd transfer me now. I waited for 5 minutes and there was only silence, then he hung up on me.


    I called back and got to the same guy, said the call dropped, and he tried to transfer me again. This time background music was playing but I was on hold for a very long time and eventually hung up.


    I looked online and found a 13 number for Australian support on microsoft's website, so I called that. I had to go through like 10 steps with the bot, including where it asked me for my phone number and it kept saying it didn't recognise it.


    Finally after so much more waiting I got through to a human again, and after some confusion I provided her my case number. She said "ok I will read now" and went silent for 4 minutes then hung up on me. Again.

    I need to activate my windows 10. I bought it, I have a valid retail license, and am entitled to it. Microsoft support keeps hanging up on me every time I try to resolve the issue so I can't fix it. Nothing works on my end and I obviously need help from an elevated support team but they all just hang up on me.

    Please, I am begging someone to call me back and help me activate windows 10. This is beyond ridiculous, I have never had an experience even nearly as bad as this. I genuinely cannot believe what is happening. Please, just help me. I paid money for this and will not buy another one simply because Microsoft Support keeps hanging up on me and refusing to help me.

    That's what the auto setting will do since you're over the 1333 mark it jumps to the next step which isn't listed or officially supported I assume by that ram.

    At this point though I would suggest dropping the multi one step or .5 so that we can get something stable and possibly take the heat issue out of the picture for now.

    • Select Services and apps.

    • Click on Windows.

    • Click on Technical Support.

    • There you will be able to contact the Technical support.

    I checked gigabyte's site on my GA-M57 and it didn't say anything about b3 stepping update, but all of the x3 chips are b3 steppings, so just use the x3 support bios if available.
