Windows 10: Activation error 0xC004C003 after FREE upgrading to Windows 11 PRO

I recently purchased a Lenovo laptop with Windows 10 Professional 64-bit and was excited to learn that I was eligible for a free upgrade to Windows 11 PRO. However, after completing the upgrade and restarting my device, I encountered an activation issue. Specifically, I am receiving error code 0xC004C003 and a message indicating that I do not have a valid digital license or product key. Can you please assist me in resolving this issue? Thank you.

Windows 11 Activation Error code: 0xC004C003

I just paid to upgrade my "Windows 11 Home" to "Windows 11 Pro" via the microsoft app store. However, after installation and restarts, the activation isn't working. I'm receiving error code: 0xC004C003. Also it says "Windows 11 Enterprise" at the top of the activation settings screen not "Windows 11 Pro" for some reason. I have the receipt but can't find any way to contact an actual microsoft support human. Any help would be appreciated.

I had to clean install Windows 10 due to automatic update installtion errors. Activation is asking for Windows 10 product key which I don't have. I have upgraded to Windows 10 Pro from Windows 7 Pro. Keep getting activation error 0xC004C003.

It seems this is a common problem as several people have reported it on this site. I am hoping it will activate itself in couple of days as suggested by a few.

In the meantime any solution will be helpful to many upgraders to Windows 10.

As per the error code 0xC004C003, it seems that you have entered an invalid product key. Please reply with the following details to assist with the appropriate troubleshooting steps:

• Have you recently changed any hardware in the computer?
  
• Which version of Windows is installed on the computer currently?
  
• Have you upgraded the computer to Windows 10 earlier?
