Windows 10: Activation error Windows 10

I have a system I bought from a individual, it seemed fine, but, it kept saying to activate, after trouble shooting the system wasn't running properly to slow, and what not, at that time I decided to reboot the system, i used a external driver to copy what was currently running on this system. I did a total reset, cleaned it out, started the system, logged into my micrsoft acct, this system is still saying it needs activation! I was told to use the version from my other system, no product key! I could have a bogis version?? or a pirated version?? How much will this cost me to fix? and is it worth it? I'm told to just go buy a product key online, I'm broke, need this laptop to make money!!! Does ANYONE, know of any other way to fix this without a product key?? or know of a free one??? please? and Thank you!!!!

Possibly there can be the problem with Microsoft activation Server, so your Windows 10 is not activated. In this scenario, you need to wait and verify if it is the issue from Microsoft’s side. But if you are getting error code 0x803f7001, you can also try these steps:

1. Open Settings app. Then go to Update and security > Activation screen > Change product.
2. Type your Windows edition product key and click Next.
3. You’ll get We couldn’t activate Windows error message.
4. Retry steps 1-3 then type your 25-characters unique product key.
5. Wait for the process to complete, Windows 10 is activated.
