Windows 10: Activation of Windows 10 enterprise in an Azure VM

I recently created an Azure VM using `Windows 10 Enterprise 21H1` image. While creating, since I was planning to buy a `Microsoft 365 F3` license seperately to activate this VM I confirmed this in licensing section: After finishing the deployment, I connected to it via RDP using the local administrator account. Didn't added the F3 licence yet with an Azure AD user. And when I checked the activation settings, it already says that windows is activated. Why is this so? I didn't activated the Windows 10 enterprise manually with the M365 licence, but still it shows that it is activated. Is t

Using Azure VM as KMS server

Hello Everyone,

I have Azure subscription and have created windows 10 vm on azure. Now I want to configure this vm as KMS host to activate my local windows 10 clients machines. I have KMS host key. Can anyone provide me a guide or something like that? I have all necessary
resources to do this but I have no enough experiences on azure.

Cannot activate Windows 10 Enterprise subscription license for Azure AD Joined device

Here is the current situation:

• I have a Windows 10 Enterprise device that I cannot activate:

  • Error message: We can't activate Windows on this device as we can't connect to your organization's activation server. Make sure you're connected to your organization's network and try again. If you continue having problems
    with activation, contact your organization's support person. Error code 0x8007007B (DNS name does not exist).
• My device is indeed Azure AD Joined, and is not Domain Joined:

  • Comment: because I’m not domain-joined any more, this computer should not try to “connect to my organization’s activation server” any more, and should just reach out to the cloud for activation through Azure AD – right?
• I do have my company's Azure AD account registered with this device:

• Even after removing the original product key from the registry, my detailed license information says “VOLUME_KMSCLIENT channel” under “Description”:

    this, the "Description" field should contain something like "RETAIL channel Partial Product Key " when using the Windows 10 E3 or E5 license.

 

Windows 10 Enterprise E3 Activation via Azure AD?

Hello All,

We have bought few Windows 10 Enterprise E3 Licenses. can someone please help to me understand how could I activate each of them via Azure AD?

i.e. I have an account in office 365 with admin rights, during windows 10 installation it ask do you want to login via Azure AD? in that I type my office 365 email Id and password, but later when I check the
activation status it ask me to type key for windows 10 to activate.. once I type windows 10 Pro key (which is sent by Microsoft via Volume License) it activates only windows 10 Pro not Windows Enterprise.

I am confuse in it that how could I make my windows 10 E3 Enterprise?

I also access my Azure AD via office 365; created one email account and tried to login with that account in windows 10 Pro but it doesn't allow me to login via that Azure AD account.

I will appreciate some guidance to resolve my issue please.
