Windows 10: Activation of Windows 10

So basically I was playing a game on my laptop then a message came up on my screen saying Your windows activation is like close to expiring or something ok then I clicked on go to settings and it told all of these stuff that I didn't even know existed on Microsoft and then I went and read some things about the activation but I kept asking myself do u need to pay. So I just need someone me the exact instructions on how to activate Windows. Have a Great Day!

I won't buy a key, stupid.

I'll revert back to windows 7 then.

When I still was on windows 7, about a year ago I added 4GB extra ram which is a total of 8GB now,
is that causing the problem?
