    Activation woes, I'm not sure what to do next.


    I have been using Windows 10 without a key for a year or so, and decided to purchase a copy so I can get rid of the watermark. I bought a brand new hard copy that includes a bootable USB stick. I tried simply entering the key into my already installed free version, which I downloaded from Microsoft and made my own bootable USB at the time.

    I keep getting error codes and it won't activate. 0xC004C060 is one of the codes I keep seeing.

    Is the key somehow tied to the included bootable USB stick? That is the only thing I can think of.

    I guess I'm not exactly sure what you mean.
    I started with Win 7 Home which came with box & was activated.
    I purchased a Win 8 Pro Pac upgrade from M$.
    Then I got the free Win 8.1 from M$.
    All has been legit down the line.
    What exactly is your suggestion?

    Pentium M

    Not sure what I'm looking at. Though when I do go to Options and then CPU it lists my CPU
    as Intel Pentium M processor 1.73 GHz, and then under that it lists speed: 799.9 MHz
    and then features and cache size.I ran the benchmark test and don't understand all
    those numbers, but while testing I checked CPUZ and it still says it is running at 800 MHz.
