Windows 10: Active apps wont open on taskbar

several apps wont open on the taskbar even though they are active. Google Chrome, discord, and even lokal apps like taskmanager wont open, although they are active. have tried restarting the computer and tried scanning the computer in the command prompt, but there are no faultsNo idea what to do, considering a factory restart

MAIl app will not open from taskbar and neither will The Microsoft Store

I have always used my Hotmail mail account through the MAIL app from Windows but now when I click onto the icon on my taskbar it looks as though its going to load on the desktop but then nothing happens. I have searched the internet for a solution and
followed many suggestions to correct including running Windows Powershell as admin to remove the apps and then reinstall from Store but the store App wont open either from taskbar or from the menu list. Please can someone help?

This is the suggested solution below if you haven't already tried it.

In this Windows 10 build 10041, the Mail, Calendar, and People apps may be broken due to a licensing issue with the Store Beta. To get these apps working again, you need to follow these steps:

• Open powershell as administrator
• Run the command Get-appxprovisionedpackage –online | where-object {$_.packagename –like “*windowscommunicationsapps*”} | remove-appxprovisionedpackage –online
• Re-install Mail, People and Calendar from the Store (green tile)

 

Some apps wont pin to taskbar windows 10 build 10240






Hi I have pinned a picture to help explain my issue. Every time I try to pin skype, battle.net, itunes a new icon is pinned to the taskbar but not the jump list version. when I click on the icon on the task bar it opens another icon/program which does show the jump list but can not be pinned.

Any advice would be appreciated as its bugging me lol....
