  2. dns query

The DNS server was unable to open Active Directory. This DNS server is configured to obtain and use information from the directory for this zone and is unable to load the zone without it. Check that the Active Directory is functioning properly and reload
the zone. The event data is the error code.

  3. Active Directory Computers list

    Hello,

I am trying to add an organizational unit to the active directory I created on my windows server 2016. However, I realize that there is no computer in the active directory computer list on my DNS domain
(Server Manager > Tools > AD Users and Computer > domain > Computers). I did set up ADDS, DNS and DHCP through server manager. Changed the Network settings, changed the system name. Every possible thing has been tried, but I fail to understand why there is
no computer in the active directory computer list on my DNS domain. The Domain name and the full computer name (Name.DomainName.com) does show up in the system properties. Please help me out.

What is the exclusive and nonexclusive in dns forwarding

    Hi. mohd1975

My name is Douglas and I am an Independent Advisor.

I would like to help you.

Any DNS server can answer queries about any name within its namespace. A DNS server responds to queries in one of the following ways:

    • If the answer is in the cache, answer the cache query.

    • If the answer is in a zone hosted by the DNS server, answer the query in your area. A zone is a part of the DNS tree stored in a DNS server. When a DNS server hosts a zone, it is authorized for names in that zone (that is, the DNS server can respond to name
queries in the zone). For example, a server that hosts the contoso.com zone can respond to name queries on contoso.com.

    • If the server cannot respond to the query of the cache or zones, consult other servers for the answer.

It is important to understand the main characteristics of DNS, such as delegation, recursive name resolution, and DNS zones integrated into Active Directory, as they have a direct impact on the design of the logical structure of Active Directory.
