  1. Active Directory DNS - Queries from different IP subnet.

Hi, I have an active directory 172.16.44.0/23 with the DNS service active DNS 172.16.45.254, which works without problems, however if I create a new zone and try to resolve from another subnet 192.168.0.0/23 the error Non-Existen domain does not work. Using the same equipment in the network 172.16.44.0/23 works without problems, when changing Vlan does not resolve Non-Existen domain If I query an external domain like microsof or yahoo it works. so the communication to the DNS 172.16.45.254 from other network works without issue.

    :)

  2. DNS is not resolving Hostnames from other subnets

We are trying Scan to the folder of different subnet machine but its not working. if we give ip address its working fine.

on local subnet we are able to Scan with hostname.

what can be the issue. it seems related to DNS,Please help.

    Code:
    [i]Moved from: Windows / Windows 7 / Email & communications
    [/i]

  3. Redirect DNS query based on IP

    Hi Everyone,

I need help regarding the MS DNS server.

I have 3 DNS servers in our organization. There are 2 groups in our environment, one is internal user and other are guest and temporary users.

Is there a way we can resolve queries based on IP. For example internal user queries should be redirect to one of the internal DNS server to resolve the query and guest/temporary users queries should be redirect to public DNS servers, lets say google DNS server for resolution.

  4. Active Directory DNS - Queries from different IP subnet.

    dns query

The DNS server was unable to open Active Directory. This DNS server is configured to obtain and use information from the directory for this zone and is unable to load the zone without it. Check that the Active Directory is functioning properly and reload
the zone. The event data is the error code.
