Active pens & Stylus don't register on laptop touchscreen but finger does.

I have an HP convertible Envy x360. 15-aq120xx 2019on Windows 10 upgrade, and I cant get any good advice from HP Tech on which active stylus pens are compatible or what my hardware/software problem is. Every time I call I get a different advice - have tried 4 pens - none work w my laptop. 2HP rechargeable, one HP w battery for MPP, one from Wacom. None were Bluetooth and none had the button at the eraser end- they all supposedly ‘activate’ when the tip hits the screen. I now believe I have a ‘Windows issue’. Im still not sure if my laptop supports a pen b/c I only get a ‘touch’ tab when I

Bought a pen stylus for touchscreen laptop etc

I bought Faber-Castell pen stylus, and it works on my laptop. But that's not the point;; is the pressure work? I mean like this picture below :

Will ANY pen stylus work like pen tablet? because that's no use if I bought the pen stylus but it works just like when I draw with my finger/same like mouse. And I also searched that Microsoft Surface Pro 4 works like pen tablet. So will any stylus work
for my HP Pavilion x360 touchscreen laptop? Thanks before!

Active pens & Stylus don't register on laptop touchscreen but finger does.

I have an HP convertible Envy x360. 15-aq120xx (2019)on Windows 10 upgrade, and I cant get any good advice from HP Tech on which active stylus pens are compatible or what my hardware/software problem is. Every time I call I get a different advice - have tried 4 pens - none work w my laptop. (2HP rechargeable, one HP w battery for MPP, one from Wacom). I now believe I have a ‘Windows issue’. Im still not sure if my laptop supports a pen b/c I only get a ‘touch’ tab when I open the ‘Pen & Touch’ function. I have updated & also re-installed ‘HID - compliant touch screen’ in Device Manager. I can calibrate the screen but no pen settings in the ‘Display’ tab of ‘Tablet PC Settings’ - and under Display options, Details: it says Limited Touch Support. When I open ‘Pen & Windows Ink Settings’ I get no pen options. The laptop does show the Pen icon in my taskbar and I can access Whitebd etc - but only draw with ‘touch’ i.e. my finger. So screen is responsive, but not to pen tips. Install of ‘Pen Control” app gives me a message that it is not compatible w my laptop. What else can I try or load?? I think Im missing some Pen driver - maybe in HID ? Thnx!

    Any stylus won't work.

Some styluses just mimic your finger and have no real pressure-sensitivity or fine point control. That is, you can't draw small lines and shapes easily. These kinds of stylus will work on any touchscreen phone or PC.

Other styluses are "active" and communicate with your touch-screen in a finer detailed way, allowing you to use pressure sensitivity and draw fine details. These kinds of pens only work on screens designed for them, like the Surface Pro 4.
