Windows 10: Adaptec AHA-2940 SCSI card and Windows 10

I have a Windows 7 system and a scanner connected to an ADAPTEC AHA-2940 SCSI card. This scanner is a pre-press professional scanner and there are no other scanners available of the same quality.I would like to update to Windows 10 but I am not sure if Win 10 is compatible with this SCSI card.So my question is
Has anyone managed to get this card working under a Win 10 environment?Your help is much appreciated.

Adaptec 39320A SCSI Card driver

Windows 10 doesn't seem to install drivers for these SCSI cards. However I think you will find that the Windows 7 Adaptec drivers work just fine (at least for x64).

Other Adaptec SCSI cards may also benefit from a visit to the Adaptec site to DL the Windows 7 drivers.

Windows 10 BSODs on cold boot on an ASUS Rampage V Extreme U3.1

Hello guys,

I have an Asus Rampage V Extreme /U3.1 motherboard with the following configuration:

- Chipset: Intel X99

- Add on Card: ADAPTEC SCSI PCI-E Card

- Add on Card: ASUS USB 3.1 PCI-E Card

- Video: ASUS RadeOn R9 270X PCI- E Card

OS: Windows 10 PRO X64

On each cold boot, I get a BSOD, the system reboots then everything is fine.

Also AIDA64 stress test and Futuremark's 3DMark run fine for hours, without any BSOD.

Tested the memory with Windows Memory Diagnostics and no errors there too.

I can provide the minidumps if required.

I have no personal experience with the card.

I see that the latest drivers for it are for Windows 7.

A quick check doesn't show any current cards with 50 pin outputs like the AHA-2940. However, there are 68 pin ones, and there are 68 to 50 pin adapters.

The most obvious choice*is to stay with Win 7. MS will support it into 2020.
