Windows 10: Adaptive brightness not working

Everytime i go full screen either watching youtube video or playing some games the screen would brights up much more than my original brightness settings, i already turned on/off "help improve battery by optimizing the content shown and brightness" but still doesn't work. Anyone know how to fix this?

Have tried few steps from youtube videos but did not work.

Brightness Control not working in Windows 10

Hi Ella,

To adjust the brightness, see the steps below:

• Go back to Power Options, and tick on the High performance.
• See if you can adjust the brightness.

If this not work, we highly suggest that you create an Administrator account, and re-do the steps above.

Adaptive Brightness

Hi, I'm Carlos Eduardo and I'm an independent Microsoft expert and I'm here to help you in the best possible way. Windows has an adaptable brightness, but it is necessary to activate it. Perform the following steps.

Step 1. Access the Windows power settings. To do this, simultaneously press the '' Windows + R '' keys. In the window that will appear, type “powercfg.cpl” (without the quotes) and press '' Enter '';

Step 2. In “Power Options”, tap on the item “Change plan settings” that is next to the plan currently in use;

Step 3. In “Edit Plan Settings”, click on “Change advanced power settings”;

Step 4. In the window that will be displayed, locate the item “Video” and click on the plus sign next to it. Below, do the same with the item “Enable adaptive brightness”;

Step 5. To activate the adaptive brightness, just click on the arrow next to the items “On battery:” and “On socket:”, and change the option “Off” to “On”.
