Windows 10: ADATA Portable SCSI drive shows does not show up in Win 11 Home its in Other In Device...

its in Other In Device Manager DFU Interface Yellow ! and also Multicard Reader Yellow !.It's a Brand New Drive from Big Films. I want to use it and they don't have an answer. Please help.

Portable devices not showing in Device Manager

Okay so I have some more information. It recognises portable drives but nothing else -- camera, phone, nothing. Doesn't matter if I plug it into the computer or the hub.

Plus "Portable devices" shows back up in Device Manager as soon as I plug in a flash drive.

 

External hard drive not showing

Hi,


I've connected an external Samsung USB hard drive (not a stick) to my fully updated Win 10 PC and it doesn't show up in File manager.


I've gone into Device manager and it shows it as:
'Samsung M3 Portable SCSI Disk Device'


but it's not a SCSI drive.


I tried updating the driver but Windows says it's using the best driver already. This looks like a Windows issue, so what else can I do to force it to recognise the drive?

Device Manager: Drive volumes show as Portable Devices???

On my laptop only my sd card and USB flash thumb drive show as removable devices, but on my newly installed 14393.693 desktop, all except my System and Boot drive volumes now show up in Device Manager as Portable Devices, even though they are just partitions on my 2 hard drives.




Is this very unusual, or does it happen from time to time for others?
