  1. Add a device to my Microsoft account, Problem! - NOT A BAND! I DON'T KNOW WHAT BAND MEANS!!!

Greetings, On the MS website it states you can add another device to your MS account. However, it doesn't have a place on the said website to add anything besides a Microsoft device. I.e. Windows phone, etc... I also just read on another Microsoft website page that you can add an iPhone or Android phone through that particular link or app. I probably have to use that add phone app because I'm adding my RCA Galileo Pro 11.5 Tablet as my device I'm adding. Why can't I add that 2nd device that's Not a Microsoft product? On that 1st website page, they only list approximately 5 Windows devices. To add my Tablet, I shouldn't have to use that add a phone app. It's a tablet for crying out loud. What should or can I do?

    Respectfully,

    Barry

  2. AT&T Lumia 950 pair issue with MS Band 2

Hi, morning to all and Happy turkey day, I got a quick question. I bought the new microsoft band 2 the same day it came out in october. I paired the band to my Galaxy S5 the device worked flawlessly, and in novemeber I cracked the S5's screen I purchased
a lumia 950 through AT&T. Ever since purchashing it I'm unable to pair the band, I've followed all of the steps I unpaired the band from the S5 I unregistered the band in the microsoft health app, I even master reseted both the phone and the band and still
got no results. I passed by the local microsoft store they said it's the phone, I went back to the AT&T store and changed the phone in two different ocassions after the original purchase meaning I've tried with three different phones and on my second visit
to the microsoft store they even changed the band for a new one and still until todays date I cannot pair the devices. The funny thing is that I can pair the device back with the S5 and also I paired the device with one of the microsoft rep's unlocked 950
XL's and it worked. I have no idea what else I can do but I'm getting kinda desperate because apart from the paring issue, the phone works perfect with every other feature and the band works with any other device. I'd appreciate any suggestions cause I'm
out of ideas on what to do. What I'm coming to thinks is that something is that there is something different in the software or something period in the AT&T versions of the phone cause it's the only device that is not pairing with the band. By the way I
didn't mention the error, the band and phone say that the pair was succesful but when I select finish the phone says were getting you all set up and it keeps loading until an error appears saying: Ooops An unknown error ocurred with your band and the band
stays on a screen that says: Getting things ready.

    PLEASE ANY HELP IS APPRECIATED!

AT&T Lumia 950 pair issue with MS Band 2

Here's a set of steps that work for me on 950/950XL:

Install Microsoft Health from Store on your Phone.

Delete an existing entry (“pairing”) for your Band if it exists on the Phone.

    • Go to the Settings app on Phone. Select
      Devices, and then select Bluetooth.
    • If you see an entry for your Band, touch and hold on the entry to bring up a
Delete option. Tap Delete to “unpair” this entry

Set up your Phone for pairing.

    • In the Bluetooth settings page above, check and if necessary change Bluetooth
      Status to On
    • Stay on the Bluetooth settings page on your Phone - this sets it up for the upcoming pairing step.

Set up your Band for pairing.

    • On Band, tap on the Settings tile (the one that looks like a gear wheel), and then the Bluetooth icon.
    • Tap on the current status (e.g. On) to bring up a list of options. Swipe right/left until you see
Pairing, and tap on Pairing. The Band should now display
Pairing as the current Bluetooth status.

    Pair your Phone and Band

    • Watch the Bluetooth settings page on
Phone – the Band should eventually show up here after several seconds. If you are in a location that has many Bluetooth devices in your vicinity, you may have to scroll down a list and/or wait for generic "Accessory"
names to be resolved to proper names. Tap on the Band name when it appears. This initiates the pairing process.
    • You should now see prompts on both Phone and
Band asking you to check that the other is displaying a numeric code. Tap on
Accept if the codes displayed on the two are identical (this is a security check).
    • On the Phone, the Band should now show as Paired.
    • This successfully concludes pairing.

Set up the Microsoft Health app on Phone to work with your Band

    • Start Microsoft Health on your Phone
    • It should prompt you to accept a few, in particular, you should see a prompt asking you to allow the app to access your Band – make sure you accept this.
    • Microsoft Health will attempt to sync data from your Band to your Microsoft Health account (in the cloud). If you see a “timed out” error on the first attempt, wait for a few seconds and let it try again.

    Hope this helps
