    I run Windows 10 on a Dell PC and a Microsoft Surface Book. I want to add the Microsoft Surface Book as a trusted device. Here are the instructions I found: Add a trusted device to your Microsoft account On the device you want to trust, go to the Security settings page [and sign in to your Microsoft account You'll be prompted to verify your identity. ... Select the check box for Don't ask me again on this device. Select Verify.] I can't follow the bracketed [] instructions above because I don't know what it means to sign on to my Mircrosoft Account. Am I not signed in? However, I went ahead

    Hello James,

    Have you already synced this My Book1140 with his Microsoft Account?

    Suggest you to login to your Microsoft Account and check whether this My Book1140 is listed as a trusted device. If you have already added this as a trusted device in Microsoft Account then it will get automatically synced if you use the same Microsoft account
    in some other devices.

    Laptop not listed in Devices in Microsoft Account

    Hi. When I log into my Microsoft account and check under Devices, I only see 3 out of 4 devices that I use with the account. Listed are two nokia windows phones running win 8.1 and 1 hp stream 11 laptop running windows 10.

    My main hp-15 laptop running windows 10 is not listed.

    I've tried the steps here:

    Add a trusted device to your Microsoft account - Microsoft Support

    to make it a trusted device but it doesn't make my hp-15 laptop listed.
