    ADD EXTERNAL KESU drive won't solve storage problem!


    I've bought a 100 GB external hard drive since my idiotic HP laptop I bought barely has enough space for the operating system. I am TRYING to have it be the default storage since my PC is full, but I cannot for the life of me figure it out! HELP!

    Kesu USB 3.0 SCSI 500GB external hard drive

    Recently bought a Kesu USB 3.0 SCSI 500GB external hard drive. My problem is that it shows under the disk drives in the device manager, but not in the file explorer. I am running windows 10. How can I correct this problem. Thank you for your cooperation.

    External Hard Drive Issues

    I am attempting to use an external hard drive (the brand is KESU if that's important.) First, I tried to set it as my download location, which only resulted in an error message. I then tried to delete some of the files on it, but nothing happened. I unplugged
    it, and upon plugging it back in, it was listed as Local Disk as opposed to KESU. I then tried to open it, resulting in an error message: "This request could not be performed as the result of an I/O device error." I tried some fixes I found online, to no avail.
    What should I do?

    you're in luck, the guy with way too much external storage is here to the rescue!


    step 1: try with a different USB cable

    step 2: take the drive out of the enclosure and connect it internally to your PC

    quite likely the cable or enclosure has died. if you're re-initialising the disk you might actually be erasing it... so dont do that.
