Windows 10: Add pre installed CLI text editor

Discus and support Add pre installed CLI text editor in Windows 10 Gaming to solve the problem; In linux servers, I can easily SSH into vi or nano without having to install anything and edit config files, because I know they will be pre installed....     Add pre installed CLI text editor


    In linux servers, I can easily SSH into vi or nano without having to install anything and edit config files, because I know they will be pre installed. There should be such an alternative in Windows, otherwise editing of files will require installation of an external application might be malicious which otherwise could have been blocked using security policies.

    Text Editor on Webpage

    I'm creating a website that requires an advanced text editor, similar to the word processor in Google docs. I'm planning on creating the editor from scratch, but I'm not sure what language to use. I was thinking of using a Java applet, but I'm open to other suggestions. Some of the features that are required are highlighting and drawing (such as Microsoft Paint). Any suggestions would be helpful.

    Favorite Basic Text/Data Editor??

    MS has Notepad as a nice lite text editor and word-pad.. both are nice and fit the need, and pre-installed. But what do you use as a third party tool??

    I use the following:
    • Notepad++
    • Notepad2
    • Genny
    • EditPad Pro/EditPad lite.. both are great, IMO..

    So,, what you you folks use/think??

    XML Text Editor.

    Done a quick search here and Google but didn't find anything, So I apologise if I have missed anything.

    Basically I'm looking for a free, lightweight XML Text editor to change some files. Being able to view items in a table for easier editing would be a plus. Looking at raw text is killing me at the moment.
