Windows 10: add tags to mkv

hi..i've been facing a problem...i want to organize some files...and when i want to add tags to mkv files...the option "tags" in details tab doesn't work for me and cant add o edit anything in detail tab

The Details tab on a certain file's Properties lets you add tags on your video clips, such as the year it was taken or downloaded. Even though this is currently not possible with
.mkv files, we suggest loading the file using Windows Media Player or a third party video editing tool available online to check if you can modify the year details of a specific video file.

I have folder for my movies with mkv files. I was wondering if I can add "year" tag into mkv files so I can sort my movies by year? Or maybe there are any 3rd party softwares? I couldn't find anything...

How to add details to mkv files for explorer?

So this is more related to mkv not windows as I see? Is there possibility to contact mkv creators and ask for a suggestion to add year tag to mkv files?
