Add Take Ownership to Context Menu in Windows 10

    Carlos,

The "y" option in the command is for "Yes", so using "s" translated for the Spanish "sí" should do the trick. I'm not sure that "administrators" in the command needs to be translated as well though since the OS started as English.

Here are two versions of the .reg file below to test. One with only "y" changed to "s", and the other with both "y" and "administrators" translated. *Smile

    Spanish-1_Add_Take_Ownership_with_Pause_to_context_menu.reg

    Spanish-2_Add_Take_Ownership_with_Pause_to_context_menu.reg

  2. Hello Brink, both .reg files change the ownership of a folder/file to my user, but when i used the .reg file that has "administrators" translated, it showed me this error:

Code: administradores: No mapping is made between account names and security IDs. Properly processed 0 files; error while processing 1 files Press any key to continue . . .[/quote] So i think translating "administrators" is only necessary if the OS was first installed in Spanish.

Thanks for all your help Brink *Smile.

WOW This worked GREAT Thanks so much guys! I managed to delete the 26 GB of my old Windows 7 installation from when I cloned my hard drive from my laptop to my gaming rig on windows 10. I could never get the damn ownership of the old windows folder, and this reg key worked fantastic. Again, thanks so much saved me 26 GB of space! *Biggrin

Yes & NO & administrators must be used in the language the UI is running. *Wink

Yeah, it would be nice if Microsoft made the commands universal in all languages.

Yeah it is a bit confusing because when you need help the commands given may frustrate even more if it's not the UI language, sending you in the wrong direction thinking you have it all wrong.

Somebody should post in insider forum to suggest command in the most universal language (English) . I'm out. Too much work.

My win 10 Enterprise is purring like a kitten 2 errors in event viewer on boot. But they are old Windows foundation driver and TDI filter. *Biggrin

Well Brink I used the reg without a pause. Don't need any pause. I have that same option in my Windows 7 Pro for a long time now. This one for Windows 10 is exactly what I needed. Another great reg file that you guys have put out!!
    Thanks *Smile

    Hello Kevin, *Smile

It sounds like you may have an issue with merging all .reg files. Do you have an issue merging any other .reg file to verify?

If so, then use OPTION SEVEN in the tutorial below to set .reg files to open with Registry Editor (C:\Windows\regedit.exe), and see if you are able to merge afterwards.

    Brink,
I have never had a problem merging .reg files before...and this one only recently...after the update to 10525. All my other .reg files merge seamlessly. Odd.

Try downloading it again in case it may have been interrupted and corrupted. It works just fine for me though.

Are you able to edit the .reg file?
