Windows 10: Add to Favourites - The Parameter is incorrect.

I can get around the Quick Access problem by simply dragging and dropping the folder into position rather than Right Clicking, but sadly that doesn't work for Favourites.Neither can I remove existing Favourites from the home folder. I recently moved a fil to a new location and can no longer remove it from Favourites.As I said, I've already done all the health checks via the command line before coming here. No errors

The Parameter is incorrect - Adding files to Windows Favourites (Win 11)

Hello, I have no idea why it's called me , I logged in before posting the request for help. Call me Bob.

• Right Click > Add to Quick Access - The Parameter is incorrect.
  
• Right Click > Add to Favourites - The Parameter is incorrect.
  

This is with any File or Folder, in any location. I can get around the Quick Access problem by simply dragging and dropping the folder into position rather than Right Clicking, but sadly that doesn't work for Favourites.

Neither can I remove existing Favourites from the home folder. I recently moved a fil to a new location and can no longer remove it from Favourites.

As I said, I've already done all the health checks via the command line before coming here. No errors were found.

One of the suggested causes was a pending update but I don't have one, I checked and my Windows is up to date.

File Path is any file path. I've tried different files and folders across both my drives. It doesn't work from any location, and restarting Windows explorer does not fix the problem.

This has been going on now since the last Windows 11 update.

This is not the first time I've had this problem, it's been a consistently inconsistent problem since I upgraded to Windows 11. I've been using Windows since '98 and never, ever had this problem occur before. In fact I have a whole range of issues with Windows 11, such as my home key no longer working after an update a few months back. Every time there's an update something breaks.
