Windows 10: Added ram now Windows states I need to Reactivate before trial ends

So I was told by many people, even ones with more PC knowledge than me, that adding RAM shouldn't mess with windows at all, as it's a small upgrade. So I got the same 8gigs x2 to complete my 4 slots. After hooking it all up and powering it up, this message popped up"Something had changed "Either the CPU or RAM" and then it gave two options. Run said more but forgot the rest or To run windows nomally. I picked option 2. Anytime I login to my account, it states I need to reactivate. You can close it, or have it take you to the Activation area. My PC shows that it is Activated, with no trial

Does Windows 7 require reactivation if...

He is using AMD already. He wants downgrading to AM3. Don't know why??

If you change HDD + RAM simultaneously, Windows 7 needs to be reactivated. Only HDD cloning shouldn't require reactivation. As you are changing mobo + HDD (prehaps RAM upgrade too), you will surely require reactivation. If you have genuine license, you should reinstall OS (you might use Windows Easy Transfer). If you don't want to reinstall, you need to uninstall HDD, interfaces/system devices, and numerous other drivers (USB, HID, Portable devices, etc.), else your OS will be unstable.
I will highly recommend to reinstall Windows 7 and enjoy your migration.

A simple trick might be like this to avoid reactivation:
1. Clone your HDD first and boot into Windows
2. Use it for at least one week
3. Replace mobo only without any other hardware change/upgrade and boot
4. Use it for at least one week
5. Do any other upgrade (RAM, Graphic card etc.)

Don't do two simultaneous downgrades/upgrades to avoid reactivation.

That's what the auto setting will do since you're over the 1333 mark it jumps to the next step which isn't listed or officially supported I assume by that ram.

At this point though I would suggest dropping the multi one step or .5 so that we can get something stable and possibly take the heat issue out of the picture for now.

 

End of Trial Period - What's Next?

I've just bought a new HP computer running Windows 10 and my 30 day trial period for Office 365 is almost up. I am confused about two things. Please help me.

• I only use Word. Can I purchase only the latest version of Word without having to buy Office 365? If so,
  what is the URL to purchase only Word?
• Do I need to purchase Windows 10 before the end of my 30 day trial period for Office 365. It is already running Windows 10, but I am confused if Windows 10 is part of the Office 365 package.
  Have I already purchased Windows 10 with my new computer or do I need to purchase it?
