    Added RAM to pc other than manufacturer


    good evening everyone, I wanted to know if it is possible to insert in my pc dell inspiron 15 5510 a 4 GB ram not from Dell, always DDR4 from another brand that I have in another pc. I was wondering if that was fine and didn't cause hardware/software problems on my pc. Thank you

    That's what the auto setting will do since you're over the 1333 mark it jumps to the next step which isn't listed or officially supported I assume by that ram.

    At this point though I would suggest dropping the multi one step or .5 so that we can get something stable and possibly take the heat issue out of the picture for now.

    Will adding RAM will help to speed up my PC?

    More RAM will definitely help with photoshop and autocad, but it's time for a new computer.



    Maybe something like this...

    Hey genesis what hardware have you bought, you might be able to save on the ram and step up the rest of the hardware a little...
