  1. Adding 2nd SSD and dcp_watchdog_violation

My girlfriend has an Hp Pavilion x360 convertible. I don’t have it in front of me so I am unsure of the exact model number. But it was having issues with freezing when doing simple tasks. The ssd it came with was only a little over 100 gb and had less than 5gb of free space. I added a 500 gb wd blue ssd, but I wasn’t able to see it within the disk management software. And I searched throughout the uefi and couldn’t find any options to see if the drive was being recognized. Anyway, the drive is still in the laptop and it seemed to be working fine for the few hours I had access to it. Now however, she is saying it keeps freezing and blue screening with the dcp_watchdog_violation error. Im not sure if it was doing the same thing when freezing before adding the new harddrive. But online the error seems to be related to ssd drivers?

My question is: how can I troubleshoot the not seeing the new harddrive not showing up in disk management (the tips I read online haven’t been helpful) And what could be the cause of the watchdog violation blue screens? Is it the new hard drive although it had some freezing issues before adding it?

My go to solution is usually to reinstall the Os, but I would like any insight the folks here have

Sorry for the long post, but any answers are much appreciated!!

  2. Dcp_watchdog_violation?

hi there to anyone that sees this, I have been having some really annoying and frustrating problems with my PC lately. My PC keeps crashing an coming up with the blue screen of death saying DCP_WATCHDOG_VIOLATION which I did my homework and went and tried most of the logical youtube videos on where they went into device manager, power option and so on but nothing has fixed mine. What is different about my PC crashing is I will be mid way through a game using my 2tb hdd and once my pc crashes it will restart but then my 2tb hdd will be missing and I have no clue on how to fix this. If anyone has any thoughts or suggestions please say otherwise I will have to pay to get fixed.
P.S my system still runs because all my games and junk are stored on the hdd and my OS is on my ssd.
