Windows 10: Adding a business email how do you view it

I am using Windows 10 email that comes with all PCs. I am using the newer version. It is a outlook.live.com account if that matters.

I found the setting Icon (the gear) and scrolled down to find View all Outlook Settings or something to that effect.

Then I found email and sync settings.

I then used the settings Host Gator said to use setting it up manually for the email I created

Using Imap port etc

Seemed like I did everything correctly

In my account it shows a second email account but I see no link to access it.

So I logged out. I then tried to log in using the new email username and it says no Microsoft account exists.

But it is right there in my folder. I cant believe it is not as simple as clicking on a switch email accounts button. Am I missing something?

My apologies, got it working but I'd never dream of using it.
I have to click this




then select either my MS account or my POP account before I can view my emails.

It's horrible, it's like a phone app. Thunderbird for me.

It does work fine with pop.





It has a problem with 2 step authentication. What is the domain?
Is your username the same as email address?

 

Forum users with Hotmail/Outlook/Exchange account

The two-step verification emails show up in my inbox but I added a rule to mark the domain name safe a long time ago (verified that "techpowerup.com" is still in the safe sender list).
