Windows 10: Adding Microsoft account to Minecraft PIN issue

I added a new account to my pc to play minecraft since thats the account with the progress. It asked me for the PIN for windows hello or something but its only letting me type up to 4 digits so it wasn't working since my PIN is 6 digit. When I try to change the PIN it says it needs to be at least 6 digit long so I am stuck here.***move from Gaming and Xbox / Account and profile / Creating and managing profiles ***

Microsoft Account PIN and password

We appreciate the screenshot that you provided. to start troubleshooting the issue with you logins, we suggest that you follow the steps below on how login pin goes back to password:

• Click Start menu and go to Settings.
• In Settings, click the Accounts icon.
• Click on Sign-in options.
• Change both your password and pin one by one.

PIN sign in for Microsoft Account

• How are you trying to change the password?
• Have you logged in to your account and trying to set the PIN?

I would suggest you to switch to child account and then try to set a 4 digit PIN from here and check if it works.

Unable to add a device to Microsoft account

Ideally, when we sign in to a device using the Microsoft account, the device is already added to the Microsoft account. However, as you have mentioned you are unable to add the device to the Microsoft account after removing it. We would suggest you
to try converting the account as a local account and then converting it as a Microsoft account. This should add the device to the Microsoft account. Kindly refer the steps mentioned below:

1. Press Windows key + I, to open
   Settings.
   
2. Click on Accounts and select
   Your info on the left pane.
   
3. Now, click on Sign in with a local account instead and follow the on-screen instructions.
   
4. Once the account is converted as a local account, sign in to the account, go to settings and click on
   Sign in with a Microsoft account.
   
5. Follow the on-screen instructions to convert the account. Once the account is converted as a Microsoft account, the device will be listed in your Microsoft account.

• How are you trying to install Minecraft?
  
• Which edition of Minecraft are you trying to install?
